For every [design] is created by someone, but God is the [designer] of everything. Hebrews 3:4

When I came aboard as the Graphic Designer for the Glens Falls Greenjackets in 2014, there was a stark absence of design standards. In addition to fulfilling my assigned duties of designing tickets, media guides, and other projects, I created a style guide to not only establish specific typefaces, Pantone colors, etc. but to give the Greenjackets a top-quality aesthetic.
THE PROCESS
Founded in 1928, the Glens Falls Greenjackets are the second oldest semi-pro football team in the United States. A franchise with so much history deserved to have the same professional design standards as a NFL club.
When I first started working for the Greenjackets, there was no attention focused on team branding. Multiple variants of green and gold were used and a wide range of unsuitable typefaces for a football team.
THE RESULT
Creating a style guide established proper branding standards for the Greenjackets and ensured continuity across the board in all forms of media.
